THE PROBLEM

The tools that built industrial agriculture don’t fit SMALL ACREAGE FARMS.

Across the world, small-acre farmers — often women, aging growers, and those with physical limitations — still rely on endless manual labor.


Diesel machines crush soil, funding favors scale, and innovation skips over the people who actually grow food.


The result is an invisible crisis: brilliant farmers leaving the fields. We’re redesigning the system so they can stay.

Hundred Acre Hub is not another machine — it’s the architecture that lets every small farm plug into automation.

We design the blueprints, interfaces, and shared infrastructure that allow robots, sensors, energy systems, and software to work together inside a cooperative network.


When many farms share tools, power, and data, they gain the strength of a large operation without losing independence.


Hardware Layer — lightweight, soil-friendly standards for micro-tractors and gantries
Software Layer — open APIs and AI scheduling for crops and climate

BLUEPRINT TO PILOT

Progress So Far:

  • Hundred Acre Hub 1.0 completed — the foundational design linking automation, energy, and cooperative models.

  • Collaborations underway in California and India on “Hands-Free Ag” testbeds.

  • Bay Area pilot cluster forming: 20 farms sharing compliance, post-harvest, and infrastructure.

  • Policy advocacy for gender-appropriate farm equipment standards.

2026 Vision:

  1. Launch three demonstration sites proving full closed-loop operation.

  2. Release the Open Farm Interface so tools interoperate seamlessly.

  3. Publish the Hands-Free Acre Handbook for universities and agencies.

  4. Build the Hundred Acre Cooperative Network of small farms.

  5. Train local technicians to maintain automation ecosystems.

THE HUMAN STORY

LALITHA VISVESWARAN is an urban farmer and systems architect designing the framework for small-acre automation.


Through Hundred Acre Hub, she connects engineers, farmers, and policymakers to build interoperable, human-centered agtech ecosystems.

Her mission is simple: make farming physically sustainable and economically viable for everyone the industrial model left behind.
